...having a piano student say, "I just love piano lessons. They're so fun!"
...hearing the birds twittering before the sun comes up.
...ordering a Gordita Crunch and a drink from Taco Bell ... and getting the drink free. (And finding out after I got home that they also gave me free cinnamon twists!)
...waking up to the sun shining in the window.
...an unexpected house-warming gift with items that I needed:
-packages from England! Mom sent me these pretty linens ... I love the daisies on them. There were also chocolate buttons and orange chocolate balls. I'm still enjoying the chocolate and making it last as long as possible!
...iceskating with friends (the girl and boy on the right are two of my piano students):
Grandpa put new carpet in my cabin on
Wednesday. It's more of a blueish gray instead of the green color it
used to be. It looks really nice and I'm so thankful for a grandpa who
tries to make everything just right for me :)
Two weeks ago was my church's missions conference. The children in King's Kids made a poster for each missionary and hung them on the walls in the hallway. I loved seeing the one for our family.
"Victoria teaches piano lessons at this school." :) |
I'm so thankful for those little things that just brighten up my day! Have you had any little blessings lately?
Phone calls with you :) Getting long emails. A nice walk in the warm weather. Surprise presents from Lawrence (cocoa-cola cups :)). Lots and lots of other things too. It's amazing how we all dwell on the negative, but if you think about it there are so many blessings and things that we can be thankful for!
ReplyDeleteSo true, Olivia :) (And yes! I can't believe I forgot to add "Phone calls with you" to the list!)
DeleteAwww ... :) The last picture is sweet! Didn't know they had that up!!!!!! Makes me feel special! :)
ReplyDeleteWell, nice pictures as always!!! :) Love you!
A surprise chat with the McGeorge boys in Peterborough; An enjoyable bike ride in the country; a man saying 'Great job' for handing out tracts ... I think all the rest are 'big' blessings :) Great post!
ReplyDeleteThat's exciting that you got to see the McGeorge's! Fun surprise :)
